Questions that usually students ask:

1)              Where are you located?

MIraCosta College has two campuses a) 1 Barnard Drive, Oceanside, CA 92056 b) San Elijo Campus - 3333 Manchester Avenue #307, Cardiff, CA

   2) Do you offer Master’s degree?

Unfortunately No.  MIraCosta College offers you 1) Popular certificate and degree programs. 2) Transfer to top universities: UCLA, UC Berkley, UC San Diego etc.

3)              How much does it costs?

One unit is $231. During 1 semester you have to take at least 12 units.

4)              What major can I study?

MIraCosta College gives you a big range of majors. Take a look at this link

5)              How to apply?

Go to this link http://www.miracosta.edu/studentservices/applyenroll/index.html and follow each step or call to international office if you have difficulty (1.760.795.6897)

     6) Do I need a TOEFL?

Yes, MiraCosta College English Language Institute will be offering the Institutional TOEFL test (paper-based) three times per year

7) Do you have housing?  Do you have dormitory?

Unfortunately MiraCosta doesn’t have dormitory. However, if you are interested in housing here is a link

8) What transportation do I need?

Two possible choices:

a)    You can rent/buy a car

b)    You can take a bus (MiraCosta provides a student discount for bus)

9) If I spend two years at MiraCosta, do I automatically go to university?  Which university can I attend?

You will not go automatically to university. In order to do so you have to apply to university you chose and wait for their response. Your admittance depends on your average GPA and appropriate study plan that you should complete. Keep in mind that each university/college requires exact classes to take (+your general education). Visit a MiraCosta’s counselor to ascertain more.

You can transfer to any university you want (in and out of state)

10) What are the differences between community colleges and university?

Community Colleges are the cheapest and probably easiest way to complete your associate degree. Basically these 2 years in community colleges equal to 2 years of university.

After you finish community college you go to university where you continue your education, for another 2 years (after you have an associated)
